KILIMANJARO TREKKING LEMOSHO ROUTE 8 DAYS ITINERARY.

Lemosho Route is among of the ascent route to Kili through western part of the mountain, Lemosho Route it’s among of the no crowned route where one can enjoy the tranquil, peace and the beautiful scene of the natural rain forest where is possible to see animals such as Buffaloes, Elephant and Monkeys and, different species of bird and beautiful flowers. Lemosho Route has no great different with Machame Route in case of a challenge. The route is named after the village of Lemosho, from where you will be transferred to the starting point.


Day 1
Transferred to the Lemosho gate for the payment and sign, then to the starting point where is the stat of the trek (if the condition of the road allowed). Began the trek pass through the rain forest for 3-4hrs to Mti Mkubwa Hut (2,650 m).
Dinner and overnight at Mti Mkubwa campsite.


Day 2
After breakfast
Leave Mti Mkubwa Hut, trek pass through the rain forest, continue trekking through Shira Plateaus. The trek takes about 4-5hrs to Shira One Hut ( 3,650m).
Dinner and overnight at Shira One campsite.



Day 3
After breakfast
Start the trek pass through moorland zone to the desert, after 3-4hrs or trek is Shira Two Huts ( 3,800m)
Dinner and overnight at Shira Two campsite


Day 4
After breakfast
Start the trek pass through Shira Plateaus and Lava Tower (4,630m), and then descend to Barranco Hut (3,930m).
Dinner and overnight at Barranco campsite.


Day 5
After breakfast
Start the trek by climbing Barranco wall (famous as Breakfast), after 3-4hrs of the trek is Karanga Hut (3,900 m)
Dinner and overnight at Karanga campsite.


Day 6
After breakfast
Start the trek possible to see Western Breach which is usually covered by huge snow dome after 2-3hrs is Barafu Hut (4,600m)
Dinner and overnight at Barafu campsite.



Day 7
From barafu it’s normally to begin the steep seven to eight hrs climb Stella Point (5,735m) at night, so that you arrive sunrise, continuing on to Uhuru Peak ( 5,895m), two hrs round trip, before hiking back to Mweka Hut via Barafu Hut for breakfast and short rest, then continuing to Mweka Hut (3,000m)


Day 8
After breakfast
Descend the mountain on the eight day via Mweka Route, 3hlr walk.




MACHAME ROUTE (6DAYS ON TREK)
Day 1
Arrival, transfer to hotel, dinner and overnight.



Day 2
The route beings from the park gate walking through the forest up to the first Machame camp at (3,000m)
Dinner and overnight at the Machame camp.



Day 3
Crossing the valley and continue along the steep ridge going onto rock ridges through heather until the end. The route turns west in to a river gorge, reaching Shira camp at (3,800m)
Dinner and overnight at Machame camp.



Day 4
You continue walking towards east to the junction turn south to the glacier streams where Barranco camp is situated (3,900m)
Dinner and overnight at Barranco camp.



Day 5
From here you walk down junction, where you ascend to the Barafu camp (4,600m)
Dinner and overnight at Barafu camp.



Day 6
Early start for the summit Uhuru Peak the highest point in Africa (5895m). From here you descend to Mweka camp.



Day 7
The day spent descending to Mweka gate overnight at hotel/Camp.



Day 8
Transfer to airport or Safari.

After breakfast, full day crater tour with lunch boxes evening return to the campsite/ lodge for dinner and overnight.



Day 6
After breakfast drive to Tarangire for game drive with lunch boxes, late afternoon return to campsite/ lodge for dinner and overnight.



Day 7
After breakfast game drive, afternoon drive back to Arusha/ Moshi.
